Hey Jeff,
Something strange happened with my installation of the desktop version of Shadow on my UX a month ago. I keep a monthly journal in Shadow. Every month I create a new one simply by checking the "new" button, naming it according to my date scheme (2009-10 Diary is the most recent), tapping the "save" button and specifying the location. I always get an XML document.
So on September 2nd I tried to open my diary for that month and it wasn't there. The "Open" window showed all my diaries except the September one. So I opened the location in Windows Explorer, and there it was, and it said it was an XML document just like all the rest.
To make a long story short, I found that I have to use the "Open Raw" option to open the diary. Now I have started my October diary and find the same thing. These are both identified as XML documents, but they are invisible to the Open command. Any idea of what gives here?
All the best,

I'll reply off list.
