For what it's worth, I want to mention that I still rely on ShadowPlan Desktop every day. I wrote an application in Lazarus Pascal that reads the ShadowPlan XML and allows me to filter and report. I have Shadow and my app open on my laptop screen next to each other. I had had some problems with the filtering of ShadowPlan, and, despite Jeff's generous help, had been unable to get filtering to work as I wanted, so I wrote me own app. But I still rely on the ShadowPlan Desktop application to manage the data. After my Zire 72 died a few years ago, I gave up on handhelds, smartphones, et. al. But my daughters dragged me kicking and screaming into the 21st Century so my wife and I could text with them and now I have a Samsung Galaxy S6. There is no app available that comes close to ShadowPlan, as everyone knows. But I did find Outliner for Android serviceable, so I modified my ShadowPlan reporter app to export to Bonzai format, so I can import into Outliner on the Galaxy. Not as elegant as the good old days when we had ShadowPlan on the Windows desktop and the Palm, but at least ShadowPlan lives on -- in my little world. Much gratitude to Jeff for all his hard work.

Thanks, that was like hearing from a long lost friend.

After my Treo gave up the ghost, I moved into the iPhone environment. I tried dozens of alternates. I never found an equal to Shadow, or even something close, for my purposes. I rely on Evernote and the native ToDo app now. I still have all my old data, but know of no way to import it to a current app.

I've moved to TiddlyWiki. It works across my Windows and my Android devices. I encrypt it, then sync it via Google Drive. Many others use Drop Box or even TiddlySpot on the Web.  You can set up checklists, and various other utilities, all the while utilizing wiki-linking ala PSLink.

Hey, I was thinking about this list on Friday! I still haven't found anything for the iPad that is remotely close to Shadowplan. My needs are fairly simple, but Shadowplan fit me like a glove, and I used the Palm as long as I could. Digitizer drift made it so hard to use, though, that I gave up on it. But I still miss it.

I can only echo Steve, and thank Jeff for an awesome bit of work! And all the best to you and your not-so-young family, Jeff. Are you still working on software these days?

Good morning (if morning it be for you):

I have played very briefly with TiddlyWiki, but I'm don't have enough geekery in me to make the, work. I shall have to try again, when my current spare-time project allows it - I became an amateur radio operator a couple of years ago, and I'm learning Morse Code. That doesn't take a lot of practicing each day, but with all the other things I want or need to do, plus helping my dear wife with chores, the spare time seems to evaporate. :(
