At the start of September I started a new monthly diary in Shadow on my Windows portable as I do every month. But the next morning when I tried to reopen it, Shadow could not find it. I finally discovered that Shadow could only see it if I used the “open raw” command. The file is .xml and has never seen a Palm device -- my Sony UX tablet is my handheld.
I would like to know what is going on and what to do about this.

Thanks.

Open Raw is for opening PDB files; perhaps you saved it with an
".xml" name, but in actuality it is a PDB file? ie: Did you 'save as pdb'
and name it .XML?

You shoudl likely be able to save-as XML to make it a true XML
file then, if that guess is right.

Jeff,

No, I never typed the file tag, I never do that. I just tapped save and wrote "2009-09 Diary", nothing more, and then saved it. I have tried converting it by doing a "save as" and made sure the file type was XML, but I get the same thing.
